Meet our Practitioners/Staff:

Candice McKort has been in practice since 2005 as a Registered Massage Therapist having had the privilege of working along side many different health care practitioners over the years including; chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists and more.  She completed training in Radial Shock Wave Therapy (RSWT) and purchased her own machine in 2016. Offering a wide variety of deep tissue/therapeutic techniques, Candice is known for her clinical aggressive approach to relieving pain in her patients and therefore has established a great referral program from fellow Chiropractors in the area. Her patients always come in a close second to her young family of 3 adventurous, kind boys.  Candice enjoys spending time at the lake in Saskatchewan with her family, fishing, boating, and golfing, are a few of her favorite activities. Unfortunately at this time Candice is not accepting NEW Patients as her client list is full. She screens and personally hires very capable, strong therapists to aid her practice and encourages you to try them out when she is busy.

Monica McKort started the summer of 2020 as our Clinic Manager.  Sister-in-law to clinic owner Candice, she is the voice to all your calls and bookings.  Monica graduated from the Pharmacy Technician Program in 2008 and worked in community and provincial hospital pharmacy.  She is still currently employed with several AHS hospital pharmacies in and around the area, as well as helping at our clinic part-time.  She has a love and passion for natural health and nutrition which makes her the perfect additional to our team.  She takes pride in her health and is always eager to teach others about her wellness journey and loves to share tips and tricks for living a healthier lifestyle.

In her spare time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family at the lake, enjoying the outdoors,  visiting new places, and hanging out with friends.

Dawn Hall graduated from the massage therapy program at Makami College in 2012 and has been practicing as a therapist since, specializing in:  Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation Massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release and Hot Stone Therapy. Over time Dawn has discovered that some patients were experiencing pain caused by undiagnosed lymphedema, and edema from existing injuries or overuse.  After completing Vodders Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy training in 2018, Dawn joined Salutaris Centre where she added to her modalities and now specifically treats Musculoskeletal and Lymphatic conditions like:

  1.  Post-operative edema
  2.  Trauma related edema
  3.  Whiplash edema                                                                                                                                                                                 Dawn has joined A Hand To Healing where she is bringing her very needed specialization of treating Lymphedema patients in the Parkland County area.                                                                                                                                                                    Apart from work, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as hiking, running, and dancing.  Book today to see what ways she can help you!

Christine Laschuk graduated from the registered massage therapy program at the South Edmonton School of Massage in 2021.  She is competent in effective Relaxation massage and starting to increase experience and training in Deep Tissue Therapeutic techniques.  She is also trained in Cupping, Hot Stone Therapy, and Reiki Massage, which is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing.  Her journey towards becoming a massage therapist came after a spiritual awakening in 2013 which initiated an overall total life change.  She completed Doula training in 2004 and then went on to being an Ordained Minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry in 2014.

Christine enjoys the simplicity and serenity in life and travels every chance she can.  Massage Therapy brings her delight in knowing she can help her patients achieve relief and leave feeling refreshed.

Amy Hamaluk graduated with 3000 hours from Makami College’s Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy program in 2016. Since then Amy has found herself working in integrative clinics with physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other practitioners and has experience treating many different conditions. She bases all of her sessions on relaxation with long slow strokes to relax the nervous system and then continues with therapeutic techniques including passive movements and stretching. Amy also offers myofascial cupping with silicone cups in her treatments which she uses to release connective tissues more efficiently and to work on those stubborn areas that need a bit more time and attention.

On her downtime Amy likes to play and watch tennis, practice yoga, and relax with cooking and watching food shows.

Shelley McPherson began her journey in massage therapy in 1979 with Edu-K courses and has expanded as time and need dictated.  She took Cranial Sacral Therapy in  the early 90’s and then proceeded with her massage therapy license in 1994.  Shelley has been helping people to eliminate pain for the last 30+ years.  She believes that we CAN live pain-free and when the root cause of pain is identified that it can, through appropriate therapy, be eliminated.

She has completed more courses than can be listed and include CST1&2, SER1&2, and TRT Massage Therapy.  She has taken many courses in Herbology, Iridology, Sclerology, NHP, TPT.  Presently she is studying with Chuck Duff who is a well known teacher whose work centers on the clinical application of Thai Bodyworks techniques.

Shelley loves anything outdoors, gardening, riding, hiking, camping, etc.  Family is number one.
