About The Clinic

Established in July 2016, A Hand to Healing is a multi-discipline clinic located in the heart of Stony Plain, Alberta just off of main street.  Our professional and qualified practitioners with over 25 years combined experience are trained to provide you with the highest of treatment standards to aid in your rehabilitation or relaxation needs.  Whether it's treating everyday stress or working on continued treatment plans for post motor vehicle accidents, our practitioners will make sure your experience and wellness were a success.

Meet our Practitioners/Staff:

Candice McKort has been in practice since 2005 as a Registered Massage Therapist having had the privilege of working along side many different health care practitioners over the years including; chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists and more.  She completed training in Radial Shock Wave Therapy (RSWT) and purchased her own machine in 2016. Offering a wide variety of deep tissue/therapeutic techniques, Candice is known for her clinical aggressive approach to relieving pain in her patients and therefore has established a great referral program from fellow Chiropractors in the area. Her patients always come in a close second to her young family of 3 adventurous, kind boys.  Candice enjoys spending time at the lake in Saskatchewan with her family, fishing, boating, and golfing, are a few of her favorite activities. Unfortunately at this time Candice is not accepting NEW Patients as her client list is full. She screens and personally hires very capable, strong therapists to aid her practice and encourages you to try them out when she is busy. ON MATERNITY LEAVE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Shelley McPherson began her journey in massage therapy in 1979 with Edu-K courses and has expanded as time and need dictated.  She took Cranial Sacral Therapy in  the early 90’s and then proceeded with her massage therapy license in 1994.  Shelley has been helping people to eliminate pain for the last 30+ years.  She believes that we CAN live pain-free and when the root cause of pain is identified that it can, through appropriate therapy, be eliminated.

She has completed more courses than can be listed and include CST1&2, SER1&2, and TRT Massage Therapy.  She has taken many courses in Herbology, Iridology, Sclerology, NHP, TPT.  Presently she is studying with Chuck Duff who is a well known teacher whose work centers on the clinical application of Thai Bodyworks techniques. Shelley loves anything outdoors, gardening, riding, hiking, camping, etc.  Family is number one.

Julie Loughrey is our newest addition therapist who specializes in relaxation, hotstone massage, reflexology, facials and more! She comes from accredited spas within the area highly recommended for her gentle approach to treatment and attention to detail. Julie completed her 2200 hr Massage Therapy program from Academy of Reflexology and Massage in September of 2020. She joined our team in hopes to gain more knowledge within the therapeutic side of therapies.

Kaitie Sperling graduated from MH Vicers in 2020 and began her career in a busy local spa until moving to a home-based practise in order to be home with her two young daughters. Now that they have started school Kaitie has decided to once again join a clinic setting specializing in deep tissue and trigger point therapy.

MEET THE CHIROPRACTORS LOCATED IN ROOM

Dr. Kendyl Muz and Dr. Brandon Grant are a husband and wife team of chiropractors who have run a busy practice in BC for 10.5 years but are now relocating their family to Stony Plain and joining our office!

Their style of practice is very unlike the traditional style of chiropractic.  They utilize a full body approach to healing and work with you to figure out the root cause of your problem.  Their treatment style is very gentle with more focus on soft tissue (muscle, ligament, etc) and will not be twisting and cracking you like what you may have experienced with previous chiropractic care.

Dr. Kendyl Muz has specialized training in prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care, but also treats the general population.  She has worked closely with midwives and lactation consultants when babies are having feeding difficulties and/or oral ties and has worked with many families in the lower mainland BC.

Dr. Brandon Grant specializes in post-concussion treatment, sports medicine/athletes, chronic pain, general population and if you have any shoulder complaints he's your guy!
